It sounds so much like the Diary of Anne Frank.
She also was prevented from appearing in public, using transportation, stopped from going to work, prevented from having a job, and thwarted from the courts fearing capture.
This is what Nazis & the Stasi did, kept people caged in their homes to enable concentration camp detention.
